Long Live The Homer News

The first publication of The Homer News was delivered to every mailbox in the Village, free of charge, on July 15, 2010. Created by the Finkbeiner family (Ed, Deoni, and Laura) who were inspired to create a "hometown newspaper" upon relocating to Homer, New York in 2009, the paper is now 11 years old and going strong.

In April of 2012, The Homer News was sold to Don Ferris, who tirelessly and single-handedly kept the paper alive through 2023, when it was purchased by the Center for the Arts of Homer, who now operates and publishes the newspaper.
